Waltman, Ludo
This presentation outlines the main challenges faced by the scholarly publishing system (lack of openness, delays and inefficiencies, excessive costs and inequities, problematic incentives and lack of community control) and how preprinting can address them. Adoption of preprinting in Europe, why researchers are choosing to preprint their work and some reasons for culture change are also covered.
