Este trabajo analiza los retos de la docencia universitaria en patrimonio bibliográfico, centrándose en la formación en fondos antiguos y colecciones especiales desde una perspectiva teórico‑práctica. Se plantea la necesidad de integrar el análisis material del libro con su contexto histórico, social y cultural, así como de equilibrar competencias técnicas con enfoques interdisciplinarios. Asimismo, se examinan las transformaciones derivadas de la digitalización, la inteligencia artificial y los nuevos marcos educativos, destacando la importancia de metodologías activas y de la cooperación con instituciones patrimoniales. Finalmente, se subraya la dimensión ética de la formación, orientada a formar profesionales capaces de gestionar el patrimonio como un bien común, con responsabilidad social y compromiso público.
This paper examines the challenges of university teaching in bibliographic heritage, focusing on the education of rare books and special collections from a theoretical and practical perspective. It highlights the need to integrate the material analysis of books with their historical, social, and cultural contexts, while balancing technical skills with interdisciplinary approaches. The study also addresses transformations driven by digitalization, artificial intelligence, and new educational frameworks, emphasizing active learning methods and collaboration with heritage institutions. Finally, it underscores the ethical dimension of training, aimed at preparing professionals to manage heritage as a common good, with social responsibility and public commitment.
