Proceso de inventariado y descripción de las encuadernaciones históricas de la Biblioteca Nacional de España

Abstract

Se presenta el trabajo desarrollado en los últimos años en la Biblioteca Nacional de España para inventariar y describir de forma normalizada su extenso fondo de encuadernaciones históricas. Este proyecto ha facilitado el acceso a más de 40.000 descripciones de encuadernación y ha permitido la creación de una colección digital accesible a través de la página web de la institución.This article presents the work carried out in recent years at the National Library of Spain to inventory and provide standardized descriptions of its extensive collection of historical bookbindings. The project has enabled access to more than 40,000 bookbinding descriptions and has led to the creation of a digital collection available through the institution’s website.
